Solar panel rebate

The rebate will cover up to 50 per cent of the value of an average 4kW solar panel system (which currently equates to $2225) for eligible households. Eligibility for the program includes using a Clean Energy Council Accredited Installer and Clean Energy Council Approved Products which provides a great opportunity for Victorian accredited installers.

If re-elected, the Andrews Labor Government will expand the program to 650,000 homes from July next year and will allow households to install a solar panel system for half price and pay the rest of the cost back over four years with an interest-free loan.

Solar hot water rebate

The Victorian Government is providing a $1000 rebate on solar hot water systems for 6000 households. The rebate will be expanded to 60,000 households from July next year if the Andrews Labor Government is re-elected.
